Selecting Natural Citrine Rough Stone

The very first stage is careful raw material sourcing.

We source untreated natural citrine, prioritising specimens with warm, consistent golden-amber tone, good internal clarity, and solid crystalline structure. Stones with heavy fractures, uneven colouring or unstable formations are set aside.

Citrine is globally recognised as the stone of abundance, confidence and steady growth. From selection onward, we seek rough material that visually embodies that gentle, radiant warmth — a quiet golden glow that evokes sustained prosperity rather than fleeting luck. No two natural citrine roughs are identical, which guarantees every finished pendant will carry subtle one-of-a-kind differences.

Mapping & Marking the Stone’s Natural Geometry

Once suitable rough citrine is chosen, master lapidaries examine the crystal from all angles.

The artisan traces planned facet lines and outlines the organic teardrop silhouette. Instead of standard symmetrical cuts, we follow the natural contour of each piece of rough. This preserves as much original crystal as possible while achieving the balanced teardrop shape you see in the final Auspice design.

At this stage, craftsmen also identify internal inclusions. Small natural mineral markings are retained intentionally; they act as the stone’s unique fingerprint, proof of its natural origin deep within the earth.

Precision Faceting: Creating Light & Dimension

Faceting is the most technical phase of creation.

Using graded diamond cutting wheels, artisans cut dozens of flat geometric facets across the citrine’s surface. Each flat plane is positioned to capture, reflect and refract light. The multi-faceted tear-drop shape is engineered so golden light dances within the crystal as the wearer moves.

This is not decorative cutting alone. Light trapped inside the faceted stone amplifies citrine’s symbolic power: clarity of mind, opening new opportunities, and drawing steady abundance. Machine cutting can produce uniform facets, but our hand-adjusted lapidary work adapts to every individual stone’s structure.

Polishing To Reveal Golden Luminosity

After faceting is complete, the citrine enters progressive polishing stages.

Series of finer abrasives smooth every facet edge and surface, removing cutting marks. Gradually, the dull raw cut surface transforms into a glass-like, transparent finish. Only after repeated rounds of fine polishing does the rich honey-gold colour fully emerge.

At this point the crystal’s true character reveals itself: warm, luminous, alive with internal light. Artisans perform quality checks, discarding any pieces with visible damage created during cutting.

Matching S925 Sterling Silver Hardware

While the crystal is finished, our silversmiths prepare complementary sterling silver fittings.

We craft minimal, streamlined S925 silver bails designed to hold the citrine securely without distracting from the crystal’s natural beauty. Heavy ornamentation is avoided — the citrine remains the undeniable focal point. Every silver component is smoothed, deburred and pre-polished to prevent wear against the stone.

We match each finished citrine teardrop with a coordinating S925 sterling silver chain, sized to allow the pendant to sit freely and catch light during daily wear.

Final Assembly, Inspection & The Finished Auspice Pendant

The polished citrine crystal is carefully secured within the sterling silver bail.

The full piece undergoes our final quality review: stability of fittings, crystal surface condition, polish consistency, and visual balance. Only pieces that meet our standards move into gift-ready packaging.

The completed result is our Auspice Citrine Crystal Pendant Necklace — the faceted golden teardrop talisman pictured here.Specifications of the finished piece:

  • Natural faceted teardrop citrine
  • Stone dimensions: 26.6 × 30.2 × 13.3 mm
  • Weight: 9 g (~45 carats / 0.32 oz)
  • Paired with durable S925 sterling silver chain
  • Handmade, natural variations between every individual pendant
