About Aura Deer
In honor of my idol, Steve Jobs, whose wisdom ignited a spark within me and became the foundation of Aura Deer. His passing in 2011, while Bob Dylan’s “Blowing in the Wind” played, prompted deep reflection. His question, “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I’m about to do today?” inspired me to seek change.
Turning to nature, I discovered energy and authenticity in forests, lakes, and oceans. My journey spanned Nepal, Tibet, Xinjiang, Gansu...where the Buddhist murals at the Mogao Caves and Thangka art in Tibet profoundly inspired me. These experiences enriched my life and guided me toward mindfulness meditation, helping me overcome anxiety and find inner peace.
This transformation led to the creation of Aura Deer, named after the nine-colored deer, a symbol of the Buddha’s past life representing kindness and compassion. Our mission is to preserve Buddhist culture and art while promoting healing. Each handcrafted product serves as a spiritual amulet, offering blessings for safety and prosperity.
